Nine Spice Ginger Chicken Stir Fry

Ingredients

  • 1 thick filet mignon or rib eye thinly sliced.
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves chopped garlic
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • 1/4 cup Hoisin Sauce
  • 2 tbsp grated fresh ginger
  • 1 tsp Uncle A’s Asian Nine Spice Seasoning
  • 2 tbsp molasses
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • Pinch of black pepper
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon of corn starch dissolved in 1/8 cup cold water
  • 2 chopped red chili pepper

 

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a very hot pan.
  2. Season the steak with salt and quickly stir fry for a minute. Remove beef from the wok and set aside.
  3. Add another tablespoon of oil to the pan and sauté the chopped garlic.
  4. Add all remaining ingredients to the to the pan except the cornstarch mixture and red chili peppers.
  5. Simmer the sauce for about 3 minutes then stir in the corn starch mixture, stirring constantly until it thickens.
  6. Put the cooked beef back into the sauce along with one chopped red chili peppers and cook enough to heat through.
  7. Serve immediately over rice or noodles and garnish with orange slices.
